Text Box: This is the Home Page of the Alan Procter Crohns England 2010 Campaign. The purpose of my campaign is to raise awareness of the spread of crohns disease in England and Wales and demonstrate the need for urgent action.
The government has worked with the food industry for 10 years to remove a bug called MAP out of our food. Despite this crohns hospital admissions have more than doubled.
UK Dairy Herd Johnes Disease Prevalence figures are to be published on 3 December 2009. Dairy UK have organized a Johnes Conference. Click here for Details.
Also on 3 December Health Scientists will be presented with the report by Defra.
Dairy UK have had the information for some time and it looks as though they are now taking johnes seriously at last and ensure the dairy industry tackle the disease.
Alan Procter hopes to have some input in the debate by explaining the rapid increase in crohns disease, and asking for milk from cows certified free from the MAP to be available for consumers that want it.

In connection with the above report page 7. A survey of MAP infection in the UK Dairy herd was completed in late 2007 and we are waiting for it to be published.

Has MAP been eliminated from UK dairy cows?
